The 09-3X Tamping Express has been specifically designed for the maintenance of high density lines and operation in short track possessions. It is capable of tamping three sleepers at a time; however, in areas of irregular sleeper spacing, it is quickly transformed to a single sleeper continuous tamping machine.
The main functions of the 09-3X Tamping Express include levelling, lining and tamping, while additional functions (such as dynamic track stabilisation, ballast ploughing, sleeper end consolidation and track brooming) may be integrated within a single machine consist, if required.
These machines are designed and built to suit the local conditions, be it the coastal environments or inland Australia.
