The Track Recording Car EM100U, system Plasser & Theurer, is a heavy duty track recording and inspection vehicle, with two (2) trucks, each consisting of two axles. One truck has both axles driven, the other truck is a running truck.
The measuring systems measure, record and analyse defects of the track, the rails, and measure the track clearance profile, at speeds of up to 110 km/h, under loaded conditions, similar to a train traveling along the track.
The video recording systems provide images of the track and its surrounding, the rails and the track components.
The rail flaw detection systems allow ultrasonic testing of the rails.
The optional ground penetrating radar provides track sub structure measurements.
Therefore, the measurements and video images fully represent the actual track and the rail of the loaded track, and the catenary wire structure under realistic dynamic conditions.
